Mentoring & Pathways

Structured 1:1 remote mentoring and learning pathways — all free, all designed to help public health practitioners in LMICs turn knowledge into impact.

What is mentoring — and what it is not

Mentoring at Peoples-Praxis is a structured, purposeful relationship between an experienced public health professional (the mentor) and an early-to-mid career practitioner (the mentee). It is practical, reflective, and centred on real challenges you face in your work.

Mentoring is not coaching, therapy, or a supervisory relationship. It is not about being told what to do. It is a collaborative, confidential space where you set the agenda, explore your goals, and develop practical strategies with the support of someone who has walked a similar path.

Our programme runs for approximately 6 months, with regular online meetings between mentor and mentee. We match pairs thoughtfully, provide resources to support the relationship, and offer a certificate of participation on completion.
